Approve Cancellation of July 25, 2006 Study Session <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown reported on the Finding of the Soul of a City final auction <br />and gala reception held on July 15, at the Art Affaire. He commended the <br />coordinators; Eva Kosinki and Patti Shunk for the success of the event. He <br />commented on the quality of the art work and stressed their value to the citizens <br />of Louisville. He suggested the City purchase some of the art work, and if budget <br />constraints prohibit, the Council members consider donating some of their City <br />Council salaries for such purchases. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the success of the Senior Citizen Ice Cream Social; the <br />Planning Commission review of the Urban Redevelopment Plan and the US 36 <br />TMO/EIS meeting. He noted all three were very important events to the City. <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the US 36 Transportation Management <br />Organization (TMO) workshop. He noted there was discussion on a new federal <br />regulation regarding quiet zones along railroad crossings. Staff will work with <br />other municipalities relative to the west railroad corridor. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br />ORDINANCE No. 1456, SERIES 2004 - AN ORDINANCE ZONING <br />PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE HOYLE PROPERTY - 2nd reading - public <br />hearing (advertised Daily Camera 5/16/06) (Applicant requests continuance) <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1456, Series 2004, and explained <br />counsel for the Hoyle family, Mr. Rich Lopez, has requested a continuance of the <br />ordinance to enable the completion of the Intergovernmental Agreement <br />amendments. Staff supports the continuance and the City Attorney's office will <br />review the documents for the IGA amendments and prepare the ordinance for <br />the Hoyle property zoning. <br />
