The retail buildings are all single stories and are clustered to maximize
pedestrian circulation and plaza areas.
The final PUD authorized three monument signs, one at McCaslin Boulevard and
two at Century Drive and included project identification, as well as individual
tenant identification. The buildings were authorized wall signage, with certain
limitation in design and size. The approved monument signs are two sided using
channel letters on steel and stucco walls, 32 square feet in area and stand five
feet tall. They have project identification panels of eight square feet, and two to
three identification panels of 3.2 square feet each.
The PUD amendment requests authorization to replace the existing monument
sign along McCaslin Boulevard. The proposed sign stands 12 feet above grade
with a sign area of 65.88 square feet and has 12 tenant identification panels of 5
square feet each, with a minimum font size of 8 inches. The base is integrated
on only one side of copy area. The tenant identification panels use a uniform
background color of green and a uniform font color of white. The request
requires three exceptions from the sign requirements from the City's Commercial
Development Design Standards and Guidelines as follow: 1) an increase in area
from 32 SF to 65.88 SF; 2) an expansion of the number of individual retail
tenants identified, and 3) to allow the sign to be integrated architecturally with the
base on only one side of the sign copy rather than two sides.
