City Council Meeting Minutes August 15, 2006 Page 12 of 13 Staff recommended approval of agreement by and between the City of Louisville and EDGE Consulting Services for economic development consulting services. Becky Hogan, Edge Consulting Services, LLC, 56 Steele Street, Denver, CO offered her services to coordinate the City's business development and retention. Council member Sackett stated the Business Retention and Development Committee (BRaD) is ready to go forward. Mayor Sisk asked if Ms. Hogan if she would be the sole consultant to the City or would there be other members of her staff working with the City. She confirmed she would be the City's sole consultant. MOTION: Council member Sackett moved to approve the agreement by and between the City of Louisville and EDGE Consulting Services for Economic Development Consulting Services, seconded by Council member Yarnell. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0. Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Brown and Council member Muckle. ORDINANCE No. 1498, SERIES 2006 - AN ORDINANCE ENACTING CHAPTER 3.07 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, PERTAINING TO THE PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND SERVICES _1st reading - set public hearing 9/05/06 Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1498, Series 2006. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Council send out Ordinance No. 1498, Series 2006 for publication and set a public hearing for September 5, 2006, seconded by Council member Clabots. All in favor. LIBRARY UPDATE Deputy City Manager Boyd reported the new library has been open for one week. The new underground parking is open and available for all day parking. The dedication of the library is Saturday, August 19, at 10:00 a.m. Many activities are planned for the formal dedication. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT No items to report. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
