<br /> City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> September 5, 2006 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br />ORDINANCE No. 1500, SERIES 2006 - AN ORDINANCE REPEALING & <br />REENACTING CHAPTER 3.26 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />REGARDING TELEPHONE UTILITIES TAX _1st reading - set public hearing <br /> 9/19/06 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1500, Series 2006. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to send out Ordinance No. 1500, Series 2006 for <br />publication and set a public hearing for September 19, 2006, seconded by Mayor <br />Pro Tem Brown. All in favor. <br /> UPDATES - LIBRARY PROJECT/CITY HALL REMODEL <br />City Manager Simmons reported contractors are still working on punch list items <br />at the library. The total cost for the new library thus far is estimated to be <br />$430,046.000 under budget. Staff will bring a photo voltaic proposal to a future <br />City Council meeting. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the Metro Mayor's meeting where Xcel Energy discussed <br />energy alternatives. <br />City Manager Simmons reported thel remodel of the City Hall building project <br />began on August 21. The Planning Department will move down into the <br />remodeled police offices. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No items to report. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the following items: <br />. Police Chief Goodman's memo relative to the inspection report of the <br /> Louisville Police Departments' 100% compliance of procedures for the <br /> detention of juveniles. <br />. The Xcel Energy High-Pressure Station in Louisville. The temporary <br /> compressor will not be installed and used for this winter season as the <br /> Marshall site will be online. <br />. Emergency warning siren. In 2003 the emergency warning siren was <br /> removed from Memory Square Pool. Three outdoor warning sirens are <br /> not budget consideration items. Other alternatives to sirens will be <br />
