<br /> City Council <br /> Special Meeting Minutes <br /> September 26,2006 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> Council to evaluate the organization department by department, and then by <br /> head count. <br /> Ty Gee, 253 Hoover Court, Louisville, CO, made observations on the Joint <br /> meeting between the City Council and the Planning Commission. He felt the <br /> Council and Planning Commission should make the financial analysis on housing <br /> projects. He noted the cost of new housing developments would have an impact <br /> on the City's budget. <br /> John Leary, 1116 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO addressed the North End <br /> development, and stated the City does not need to look for a model; the model <br /> already exists, and only requires amendment. He stated the financial model is <br /> an indicator. <br /> ENTERPRISE FUNDS <br /> COAL CREEK GOLF COURSE <br /> Land Management Director Robson explained he is the liaison between the Golf <br /> Course and the City of Louisville. He introduced Mr. Eric Jensen, Manager of the <br /> Coal Creek Golf Course. <br /> Eric Jensen presented to 2007 Coal Course Budget, He reviewed the 2006 <br /> statistics for the Coal Creek Golf Course and the projections for 2007. The Coal <br /> Creek Golf Course continues to hold its position in the market. Quality marketing <br /> efforts are in place to ensure continued success in day-to-day operations as well <br /> as tournaments and banquets. <br /> For 2007, the projection is 38,000 rounds of golf, a 2% increase above 2006 <br /> budget and a 1 % increase above 2005 actual. The projection for food and <br /> beverage revenue is $273,465, an increase of 1 % above the 2006 budget and a <br /> 20% increase above 2005 actual. In summary, the 2007 budget shows attainable <br /> figures with respect to golf rounds and revenues as well as restaurant and <br /> banquet revenues. <br /> Land Management Director Robson reported a financial controller from Western <br /> Golf Corporate was recently hired. He noted revenue derived from the Golf <br /> Course, after payment of the bonds, is put back into the golf course for capital <br /> improvement. The estimated revenue for 2007 is approximately 66,000. <br /> Mr. Jensen reported major capital improvements purchases required in 2007 are <br /> a rough back mower, a gypsum fertiilization system, and maintenance equipment. <br /> City Manager Simmons reported Western Golf has operated the management of <br /> the Coal Creek Golf Course for the past six years, and is currently operating on a <br />
