City Council Meeting Minutes December 19, 2006 Page 9 of 13 Mayor Pro Tem Brown commented on statements he'd heard that Louisville's fees are too high and asked how Louisville's fees compared to other municipalities. Mr. Tischler stated the projected fees are not exorbitant in comparison with other municipalities. Council member Muckle asked if projections for Recreation Impact Fees included the non-residential business sector. Mr. Tischler explained studies have shown a majority of organized sports participants and business employees using City facilities are also residents. Mayor Sisk asked Mr. Tischler to explain the basis of all the impact fees. Mr. Tischler stated the impact fees show a need, proportionate and a benefit to the residents. Council member Clabots asked Interim City Manager Balser about a waiver of impact fees for affordable housing. Balser stated the City would be required to pay that portion of the impact fees for affordable housing. Mayor Pro Tem Brown asked if the impact fees would be evaluated on a regular basis. Balser stated they would. Mayor Sisk requested public commEmt and hearing none, closed the public hearing. MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved to approve Ordinance No. 1506, Series 2006, seconded by Council member Clabots. City Attorney Light requested a friendly amendment to include the arterial street map as Exhibit B. Mayor Pro Tem Brown and Council member Clabots accepted the amendment. c VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. Tlhe motion passed by a vote of 7-0. Mr. Tischler commended City Staff and Interim City Manager Balser. Mayor Sisk thanked Interim City Manager Balser and Finance Oirector Leslie. RESOLUTION No. 60, SERIES 2006 - A RESOLUTION DENYING A PRELMINARY SUBDIVISION PLAT AND PRELIMINARY PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) PLAN REQUEST FOR GATEWAY LANE SUBDIVISION Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation.
