The new vision statement removed the reference to "preserve <br />our small-town character" and instead added: "to create, evolve, and adapt to change, <br />while respecting our past and supporting our high quality of life." <br />Kranz expressed her appreciation for the committee's initial outreach to the community <br />when they asked for input on what "small-town feel" meant. She said they received a lot <br />of interesting responses. Kranz then urged the committee to go back to the community <br />when discussing the new vision statement and ask, "What do we mean by 'evolve and <br />adapt to change'?" She emphasized the importance of community input in shaping the <br />comprehensive plan. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS — NEW BUSINESS <br />a) PUD Amendment — 947 Pine: The reason of the hearing is to received evidence <br />on the application materials providing an open forum for all interested parties who <br />wish to comment on this before the Planning Commission. The notice has been <br />satisfied. <br />b) Preliminary PUD Amendment, Preliminary Plat land use exhibit Amendment <br />rezoning and special review use —1032, 1034, 1040 East South Boulder Road: <br />The purpose of the hearing is to received evidence regarding the application <br />materials providing an open forum for all interested parties who wish to comment <br />on this before the Planning Commission. <br />PUD Amendment — 947 Pine <br />Staff Presentation: <br />Post explained that the agenda item for the night was a request for approval of Resolution <br />9, Series 2024, which recommended approval of a request for a Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) amendment with a special review use. This amendment would allow <br />a bar and restaurant with outdoor dining and miniature golf at 947 Pine Street, otherwise <br />referred to as Birdie Bar in the application materials. <br />Commissioner Questions of Staff: <br />Bangs asked whether the existing building itself, not the sign, had been analyzed for <br />historic status. Post responded that there was no knowledge of that and suggested that <br />the applicant could likely provide more information regarding any exploration of historic <br />preservation.
