Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 2024 <br />Page 4 of 12 <br />Starr explains that that is the alley between 947 and Henry's, and the door is intended <br />to be used by the bar staff to take out trash. <br />Starr explained how they can also have deliveries come to the alley. <br />Bangs' question is about the landscape plan and the intent behind the trees along the <br />west line. <br />Chris March, from Seven29 in Littleton, answered the question, explaining how the <br />trees are small evergreen trees. <br />Moline asked about the disposition of any kind of underground storage tank, given that <br />the property was a former gas station. <br />Starr explained how they removed the tanks back on March 11 th without any issues. <br />Public Comment: <br />None. <br />Applicant Closing Statement: <br />Starr thanked the commission for the opportunity to present their vision and ideas for this <br />corner and expressed that they were very much looking forward to opening day and <br />contributing to the vitality of downtown. <br />Staff Closing Statement: <br />No additional comments. <br />Discussion by Commissioners: <br />Basket was excited about the proposal and the synergy it would create with other local <br />businesses, as well as its proximity to downtown and its potential to extend walkability. <br />Basket thought they had come up with a very creative solution for parking. <br />Mihaly was also very excited about the proposal and resonated with the comment about <br />the strong synergy with other establishments in the area. Mihaly also believed it was an <br />improvement in almost every way. <br />Choi also liked the proposal, believing it would be a great project. He appreciated the <br />sustainability and efficiency measures incorporated into the design, such as the pergola <br />on the south side, which would make the space more comfortable and reduce the overall <br />cooling load in the building. <br />Bangs appreciated the presentation and the comprehensive outline, recognizing all the <br />thought that had gone into it. He noted that it was certainly new and different, and he <br />believed the town would benefit significantly.
