Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />Lenny Volpone: <br />• Bocce ball courts are in need of improvement: <br />o Memory Sq and Community Parks <br />o There are challenges in Community Park with the wind blowing away topping <br />on court, railroad tie edging are sticking out <br />Timothy Buse: <br />• Enclave Park: supportive for prioritizing park work, questioning timeline <br />• Notes from board: <br />o Coordination and dependency on Public works projects caused delay for the <br />Parks Design for Enclave, the land is part of City's water system FYI. <br />o Staff is working on modified Park design to be closer to 90% in early 2025 for <br />public and PPLAB review. <br />VI. Advisory Board Service Recognition <br />• Patricia, Shannon, Ellen, and Cynthia rolling off board at the end of 2024 <br />o Letters and certificates were presented to each with sincere appreciation from <br />Staff. <br />• Ellen's significant contributions for over 20 years, including 7 years as Chair was <br />highlighted with additional recognition. She has been instrumental in establishing the <br />Arboretum, a practice of testing and trying different species overall, the shift to <br />environmental practices and fewer pesticides in parks, especially playgrounds. Council <br />member Deb Fahey shared the highlights and emphasized the City and community's <br />appreciation for Ellen's significant volunteer efforts and positive impact. <br />• Interviews next week for board positions <br />VII. Parks Projects: 2025 Median Renovation - discussion <br />• 10 years ago, City Council approved the renovation of all medians to be more eco- <br />friendly and to work toward some common aesthetics as well. <br />• Completed Phase 1 in 2023 4 <br />
