I A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR STOLZMANN The sacrifices our community members have made during the pandemic, and continue to make to protect the lives and welfare of each other, are monumental. Please remember to support one another through this turbulent time. With more and more community members getting the COVID-19 vaccine, we have much needed hope and we look forward to recovery in the year ahead. With so much to look forward to, it is easy to become lax. I urge each of you to redouble efforts with mask wearing and hand washing, even once you're vaccinated. These small steps have a tremendous impact on slowing the virus and helping us move more quickly out of the pandemic and into recovery. Thank you, Louisville, for all that you are doing. Sincerely, Mayor Ashley Stolzmann COVID-19 UPDATES Mayor Stolzmann provides regular email updates on COVID-19, the vaccine, the public health guidelines and regulations put in place to slow the spread of the virus, and the impact on City facilities and services. You can sign up for Mayor Stolzmann's 0 updates and read the latest public health guidance and City facilities plans by visiting LouisvilleCO.gov/COVID19 or scanning the QR code. 0 El REGISTER FOR THE VACCINE The COVID-19 vaccine is crucial for bringing an end to the pandemic. The vaccine is being distributed to different groups in a phased approach. As of February 8, all Coloradans age 65 and older are eligible for the vaccine. However, all residents (regardless of age) can register their details with vaccine providers. Visit covidl9.colorado.gov/vaccine to find vaccine providers and for more information. If you're more comfortable using the phone, you can call 1-877-CO VAX CO (1-877-268-2926). Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Louisville Senior Services staff are also available to help our senior community with questions about the vaccine. SLOW THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS Even if you're vaccinated: Wear a facial covering Stay home if you're sick Wash your hands IMaintain 6' of distance EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION TASK FORCE The City is looking for 11 members for a new community -based task force that will focus on issues relating to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). Last year's Community Conversations on Racial Equity, demonstrated a need for a community -based effort to move from introducing hard conversations about EDI issues to having courageous discussions about which issues are most important. City Council established the EDI Task Force by a unanimous vote on January 19, 2021. Mayor Stolzmann stated,"I am excited to see this historic task force take shape and for our community to continue having this important dialogue. It is essential to the fabric of Louisville that we work together to identify areas of concern around EDI issues and identify goals and solutions to foster an anti -racist, inclusive environment that is accessible to all." All are welcome to apply, including City residents and non-residents, homeowners and renters, business owners, Black, Indigenous or other racially diverse business owners located within or outside the city, employees from various industry sectors within the city, community activists and leaders and youth and those who work with youth. The task force membership will represent diverse backgrounds and experiences, including race, gender, age, nationality, religion, economic and other diverse perspectives.
