PARKS, RECREATION & OPEN SPACE NEWS I.: <br />RECREATION & SENIOR CENTER <br />If you haven't been to the Louisville Recreation & <br />Senior Center in a while you should stop in and check <br />out all the great things it has to offer! There are classes <br />and services to promote healthy living and active <br />aging for people of all ages in the community. <br />Whether you are looking to exercise or socialize, learn <br />or play, live well or age well, we have something for <br />everybody! Come start off the new year with us. <br />Preschool Program at the Louisville Recreation <br />Center - Registration begins in January for the <br />2022-2023 school year (children age 3-5 by <br />9/30/22) <br />Looking for a part-time preschool program that is <br />educational, fun and nurturing? This three day a week, <br />state -licensed program is designed to meet the <br />academic, social and physical needs of young children <br />by providing a stimulating, safe and healthy <br />environment. The classrooms offer floor to ceiling <br />windows with views of the Front Range as well as <br />unique outdoor learning spaces. The program offers <br />a real community feel as well as expanded program <br />options being based in the center. <br />Morning and afternoon classes are offered on <br />Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. <br />Visit LouisvilleCO.gov/Preschool for more information. <br />Sweetheart Dance <br />Saturday, February 12 from 4 PM-5 PM <br />Ages 3-8 I $12 per person <br />This magical event is filled with dancing, crafts, light <br />refreshments, and many smiles. Formal to semi -formal <br />attire is encouraged. Both dine -in or grab-n-go options are <br />available. We will provide the main meal of turkey, <br />stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetable, cranberry and <br />roll and ask those joining us to bring either an <br />appetizer or dessert to share with friends at your table. <br />This event is free with a suggested donation of $3.50 <br />for people ages 60+; for people who are 59 years old & <br />younger the cost is $12. Lori "Shelvis" <br />Muha is an entertainment powerhouse who captures <br />the audience with her amazing vocals and <br />high-energy performances . Focusing on the music of <br />Elvis, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash and other Rockabilly <br />pioneers, her and her band of Roustabouts transport <br />the audience to a time when rock was born. Fee of <br />$9R/ $11 NR includes refreshments, appetizers, <br />desserts, and the show. Louisville Senior Services is in need of <br />volunteers to help keep seniors in Louisville safe in <br />their homes by providing snow shoveling.To be a <br />snow buster, you will need to complete a <br />volunteer application. <br />Interested?
