A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR STOLZMANN
Spring is traditionally a time of
healing and rebirth. It's a time for
enjoying the outdoors without
coats, planting annuals, and maybe
even planning vacations.
Unfortunately, spring this year has
come quickly for us in Louisville, not
because we're looking forward to
warmer weather, but because our
community has been devastated by
a natural disaster.
As we transition from response to recovery and
rebuilding, I'm continually reminded that processing
this trauma is different for all of us, even if there are
similarities in our experiences. I speak to residents
every day, many of whom lost their homes, and no two
stories are the same, although they're equally
heartbreaking. Ultimately, however, we are all a part
of this community and we are stronger because of it.
This is not the spring that any of us planned for, but I
hope you take comfort, as I do, in Louisville's strength
of community spirit.
City Council and I will continue to work for you and
Louisville so our community is able to rebuild, one
community, together. If there is anything we can do for
you, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mayor Ashley Stolzmann
AshleyS@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.570.9614
Ward 1
Councilmember Caleb Dickinson
CDickinson@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.495.9219
Councilmember Chris Leh
Leh@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.668.3916
Ward 2
Councilmember Deborah Fahey
DFahey@LouisvilleCO.gov 720.320.5539
Councilmember Maxine Most
MMost@LouisvilleCO.gov 720.530.5836
Ward 3
Councilmember Kyle Brown
KBrown@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.349.7421
Councilmember Dennis Maloney, Mayor Pro Tem
DennisM@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.494.9257
You can email all of City Council at
Council@LouisvilleCO.gov.
Visit LouisvilleCO.gov/WardMap to find your ward.
NEW CITY MANAGER JEFF DURBIN
Leading the City of Louisville as we
recover and rebuild after the
Marshall Fire was obviously not
how I imagined my tenure would
start, but I am committed to
rising to the occasion and to
being worthy of the trust and
respect that City Council put in me
when I was appointed City
Manager in December.
So many City staff are directly involved in Marshall
Fire Recovery and so many of us are working hard to
ensure that the City continues to deliver day to day
services for residents. Both are equally important and
I continue to be impressed by the City's professional
and inclusive environment - which is part of what
drew me to Louisville in the first place.
I've met so many of you through community
meetings, emails, and phone calls, and I only wish it
had been under better circumstances. For those of you
who I've not yet met, I'd like you to know that public
service is both important and rewarding for me,
having spent over 26 years dedicated to it. I have an
extensive background in community development,
organizational change, and community engagement,
and I plan to apply this experience to my work in
Louisville.
In the coming months I will be working alongside
City Council, the Leadership Team, and the City's new
Disaster Recovery Manager Peter Gibbons as we take
action to recover and rebuild.
There's a lot do, but I also hope to begin to enjoy all
that Louisville has to offer, including the city's vibrant
dining, shopping, and events. I would love to hear your
favorite parts of Louisville so please send me an email
to share your suggestions.
I am honored to be your new City Manager.
Jeff Durbin
JDurbin@LouisvilleCO.gov 303.335.4533
TRADUCCION AL ESPANOL DISPONIBLE
Para leer esta publicacion en espanol, visite
LouisvilleCO.gov/CommunityUpdate o Ilame al
303.335.4814 para recibir una
copia impresa.
• LSPAXOL11
To read this publication in Spanish,
visit LouisvilleCO.gov/CommunityUpdate or call
303.335.4814 to receive a printed copy.
Page 2 • Spring 2022
