Apply for a seat on <br />the City of Louisville's Youth Advisory Board (YAB) <br />Last year the members of YAB helped elect Louisville's <br />first Pet Mayor! Two-year commitment <br />on Thursday evenings during the school year. Apply at <br />LouisvilleCO.gov by 8 a.m. on Sept. 5. <br />SENIOR SERVICES <br />Louisville Senior Services offers fitness and aquatics <br />classes, as well as daily drop -in programs, general <br />interest classes, special events, and day trips with a <br />wide variety of venues that appeal to the interests of <br />our participants. <br />Older adult activity scholarship <br />$50 scholarship up to 3x/year for activities, including day <br />trips, programs, classes, special events, and Recreation <br />& Senior Center memberships. Check out <br />the special events page in the senior section <br />of LouisvilleRecreation.com. <br />Resources available for seniors, families & caregivers <br />Katie Tofte, our Community Resource Coordinator, can <br />assist you, your family, or caregivers with a wide range <br />of resources available to you. <br />Transportation, financial assistance, legal services, <br />Medicare, and housing are just a few of the wealth of <br />resources in our area. <br />Senior Services Wellness & Resource Fair <br />Friday, October 6, 9-11 a.m. <br />This fair is for seniors, their families, and caregivers to <br />learn about resources in the area, including home health, <br />housing, transportation, nutrition, and much more. <br />Senior Services Thanksgiving Feast <br />Thursday, November 16,12-1 p.m. <br />We will provide the main meal of turkey and all the <br />side dishes and ask those joining us to bring either an <br />appetizer or dessert to share with your table. This event <br />is free for ages 60+ with a suggested donation of $4.25. <br />Cost is $12 for anyone under age 60. <br />AQUATICS <br />Youth Splash Party (Grades 3-5) <br />Friday, Sept. 22, 7-9 p.m. <br />Kids take over the splash pool to spend the evening <br />hanging out with friends, swimming, listening to music, <br />and enjoying the zip line, lazy river, and slides. Pizza <br />available for purchase. Limited space, registration is <br />required for each person. <br />Floating Pumpkin Patch I Friday, Oct. 20 6-8:30 p.m. <br />Join us for this unique fall tradition! Swim up to your <br />favorite pumpkin and pick it right out of the water, then <br />step into the decoration room to make your pumpkin the <br />perfect combination of creative and spooky! Pumpkins <br />purchased locally from 7th Generation Farms. Limited <br />space. Each registrant gets to pick one pumpkin. <br />Open Pool Water Polo <br />Wednesdays 7 p.m. —Close through October 25 <br />It's like open gym, but in the pool! We'll put up our water <br />polo goals and bring out the ball rack and you can shoot <br />around or organize a pickup game with your friends or <br />just get in a good workout with water polo! <br />Masters Swim • Mon/Wed/Fri 12-1 p.m. <br />Are you looking to add swimming to your fitness <br />routine or would like a group and some professional <br />instruction? Coach Matt Hurley and his team would love <br />to help you take that next step in the pool. Daily drop -in <br />for masters is $14 and a 10-punch pass is $120; either <br />can be purchased with the front desk. Questions?
