The Economic
Vitality team works to attract businesses of all sizes and
industries. In addition to larger employers, we also work
to recruit quality of life businesses such as retailers and
restaurants. These businesses often act as third places
within the community — gathering spaces between
home and the workplace. A community needs vibrant
retail and strong businesses to thrive.
Economic Vitality also works to keep businesses
successful once they choose to make Louisville their
home. This includes retention visits and activities, as
well as supporting growth and expansion investments.
We work with partners at the county, metro, and state
level to support new and existing businesses.
Relationships are key to Economic Vitality. We want
strong relationships with businesses so they know
who to contact if there is an issue and who to share
information with to celebrate wins and successes. In
addition, we work closely with brokers and other real
estate professionals to keep Louisville top of mind for
business location and investment decisions.
Economic Vitality also involves promotion and marketing.
We want to showcase the business environment in
Louisville and encourage additional businesses to make
our community their home. We celebrate the innovation
and vibrancy businesses bring to our community.
We encourage you to support your local businesses.
Be a frequent customer and share your excitement with
others. They will be happy you stopped by!
Your Economic Vitality Team
Vanessa Zarate, CEcD, Economic Vitality Manager
Austin Brown, Economic Vitality Specialist
EconomicVitality©LouisvilleCO.gov
Fall 2024 • Page 5
