A few dead trees
were intentionally left to provide habitat and cavity nesting
opportunities for wildlife. With the wood cleared, native plants
now have the opportunity to grow and thrive. Please support
this restoration by staying on designated paved trails. Thank
you for helping us protect and restore our open spaces!
Parks maintenance is a year-round job
Even in winter, the Parks Department stays busy! Staff enhance
their skills through training in turf, horticulture, irrigation, and
forestry, while managing snow, winter watering, and ensuring
safety in park areas. They also contribute to downtown holiday
lights and the winter parade, spreading seasonal cheer. We're
dedicated to maintaining parks year-round for all to enjoy!
L WINTER 2024-25
LOUISVILLE LANTERN
