PERMITS FOR FURNACE/BOILER/AC & HOT
WATER REPLACEMENTS
Your Community Building and Life Safety Department
at the City of Louisville would like to remind you that
permits are required for all furnace/boiler/AC units and
hot water heater replacements.
Never pay 100% up front and only pay the final invoice
after you have received an inspection from the City
Inspector and passed the final inspection. This ensures
that the contractor has kept up to their end of the
replacement and the equipment is installed correctly.
Also check your smoke detectors and carbon
monoxide detectors regularly as we get into the
winter season. Your gas appliances are running more
and your windows are closed, so detection is critical
should carbon monoxide poisoning occur. The most
common symptoms of CO poisoning are headache,
dizziness, weakness, upset stomach, vomiting, chest
pain, and confusion. If you have gas appliances you
should have at least one CO detector within 15 feet
of the bedroom doors. Carbon monoxide is colorless,
odorless, tasteless, and extremely dangerous.
If you have questions, please call the City's Community
Building and Life Safety Department 303.335.4584 or
the Louisville Fire Department 303.666.6595.
CHRISTMAS TREE COMPOSTING
Residents participating in the city-wide solid waste
program with Republic Services can dispose of
Christmas trees free of charge on their usual
compost day during the week of January 4 or
January 18. Trees need to be placed next to the
compost bin and must be cut in half (each piece no
more than 4 feet in length) and tied together with
rope or twine.Trees can also be collected as a bulk
item.
If you have any questions, contact Republic Customer
Service 303.286.5400 (Monday -Friday 8 AM - 5 PM)
or visit LouisvilleCO.gov/Republic and complete the
website contact form.
The City's branch recycle site (open the first full
weekend of every month including January 2-3, 2021)
will also take Christmas trees from Louisville residents
(proof of residency required). For details and
directions, visit LouisvilleCO.gov/LeafandBranch or call
City Forester Chris Lichty on 303.335.4733.
KYLE BROWN ELECTED TO WARD 3
Kyle Brown, who was previously appointed to the
Ward 3 City Council seat, was elected to Ward 3 for the
next year. Visit LouisvilleCO.gov/WardMap to find your
ward or call 303.335.4536.
E City of
Louisville
I.
WANT TO STAY IN THE KNOW?
MontHly
EM COMMUNITY
UPDATE
Subscribe to the
Monthly Community Update
The City of Louisville is committed to
keeping residents and businesses up to
date with the latest news and events.
