RESOLUTION NO. 6 <br />SERIES 2023 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />TITLE 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CAPPING THE MAXIMUM <br />NUMBER OF GASOLINE AND AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS LOCATED <br />WITHIN LOUISVILLE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville is a Colorado home rule municipal corporation <br />duly organized and existing under laws of the State of Colorado and the City Charter; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville remains committed to its adopted goals to reduce <br />energy consumption, increase clean energy sources, and support the transition to a low - <br />carbon community as outlined in the City's Sustainability Action Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recognizes that limiting gasoline and <br />automobile service stations will help to address health and environmental concerns with <br />fossil -fuel powered vehicles and as a strategy to reduce community -wide fossil fuel <br />consumption consistent with City Council Resolution No. 25, Series 2019 Setting Clean <br />Energy and Carbon Reduction Goals; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the proposal at a duly <br />noticed public hearing on February 9, 2023, where evidence and testimony where entered <br />into the record. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Louisville, Colorado does hereby approval of an ordinance amending Title 17 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code capping the maximum number of Gasoline and Automobile <br />Service Stations located within Louisville. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 2023 <br />By: <br />Steve Brauneis, Chair <br />Planning Commission <br />Attest: <br />CY117 A 76r4e <br />Jeff Molina, Secretary <br />Planning Commission <br />
