Cityof <br />U Louisville <br />City Manager's Office <br />Memorandum <br />To: Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />From: Hannah Miller, Sustainability Manager <br />Date: January 15, 2025 <br />Re: Staff Updates <br />Projects and Programs <br />Annual Metrics <br />• For annual metrics, refer to the November 2024 LSAB packet. <br />Circular Economy/Waste Diversion <br />• Logan Johnson has been appointed Vice Chair of the Boulder County Resource Conservation <br />Board (RAB). <br />Nature -Based Solutions <br />• The Sustainability Division will provide fiscal support for the second iteration of the Community <br />Forest Corps (CFC) in partnership with the PROST Department. <br />Commercial Sustainability <br />• Staff is participating in partner training for the Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN). <br />• As of January 6, 2025, 75 Louisville businesses are signed up in GreenBiz Tracker, with 5 active <br />participants in the CGBN. <br />o Garden to Table has signed up to pursue CGBN recognition. <br />• The Commercial Sustainability Grant program is currently on pause, with a rebrand and relaunch <br />anticipated. <br />Internal Decarbonization Plan <br />• The hiring process for the Project Manager position is ongoing. <br />Community Decarbonization Plan <br />• At staff's request, PIE has created an analysis of multifamily properties in Louisville, including: <br />o Property age <br />o Equipment type and age <br />o Number of units <br />o Property ownership details <br />• The goal is to identify properties nearing equipment end -of -life and provide resources to <br />encourage electric upgrades. <br />1 <br />
