Please give a brief overview of your project: The proposed project will bring world -class Italian opera to the Annual La Festa Italiano di Louisville through a performance by Dr. Melynie Campbell, an internationally recognized opera singer. As a classically trained soprano with extensive experience in performing Italian opera, Dr. Campbell will present a curated selection of iconic Italian opera arias and classical pieces to celebrate Italian heritage and enrich the cultural fabric of Louisville.This one-time live performance will offer festival attendees an authentic operatic experience featuring selections from composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, and Donizetti. The performance will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at La Festa Italiano di Louisville, a cherished cultural event that celebrates Italian heritage through music, food, and community engagement. * 25. Project goal(s) This performance aligns with the mission of the Louisville Cultural Advisory Board by enhancing access to high -quality cultural arts experiences for the community. • Promoting Italian Opera & Cultural Appreciation — Italian opera is a cornerstone of Western classical music, and this performance will honor and celebrate Italian culture in an accessible, engaging way. • Providing a Unique & World -Class Artistic Experience — Dr. Campbell's international background will bring a caliber of performance typically reserved for major opera houses to Louisville, Colorado. • Inspiring and Educating Audiences — The performance will offer audiences a chance to experience live operatic storytelling and gain a deeper appreciation for the power of vocal music. • Expanding Cultural Diversity in the Arts — Bringing a classical opera performance to a broad audience enhances the diversity of artistic programming in Louisville and strengthens the community's cultural offerings. * 26. Please outline the project's scope and the means of executing the project in greater detail: La Festa is a mainstay in the Louisville community and has been since 1986. We have always welcomed all of Louisville residents to take part in this singular ethnic event in our town. The proceeds from this event fund our annual high school graduate scholarships and provide just enough funds for operating expenses. The inclusion of this cultural will reach anyone who wishes to attend. * 27. What is your target audience? This performance is intended for all festival attendees, including: • Italian -American community members seeking to celebrate their heritage through music • Opera enthusiasts and classical music lovers • Families and general audiences attending the festival • Students and aspiring musicians interested in professional -level vocal performance The open-air performance will be free and accessible to all festival attendees, ensuring broad community engagement. * 28. How will you market your project? We advertise with flyers displayed in multiple business throughout Louisville. Additionally, we have banners that are located through the city. We also advertise through the various Italian -American organizations throughout the Denver -Metro area. * 29. Please describe prior experience in executing similar projects. We have done La Festa since 1986. * 30. How will you track and measure the success of your project/event? We will mainly focus on attendance as the indicator of success. * 31. How will your project benefit Louisville residents? This grants funding comes from City of Louisville taxes, and it is important that the project reaches Louisville residents. The event takes place in the heart of Louisville and is open to all. * 32. Have you received a Louisville Art Grant in the past? If so, what year(s), and for what event(s) or projects(s)? No 33. Please include any additional information we should know in order to evaluate your funding request. We have to work extremely hard to host La Festa every year. City fees total nearly $800 to rent Memory Square Park and we always have to secure event insurance in the amount of $300. Funding this request will help us generate more money for our scholarship winners. 34.
