iv. more updates at staff retreat in March <br />i. Performing Arts Center Update <br />i. Iris is aware of and passionate about this <br />ii. initial research has begun <br />iii. many local/Louisville groups are invested in supporting/using <br />the space <br />iv. first step of the project: feasibility study, could cost up to <br />$100,000 <br />v. we also need to think beyond the study <br />vi. we would need to collect the money to fund the study and <br />then bring the project before the council <br />vii. look for corporations to sponsor, grants, etc. <br />viii. this will take months, help from the board would be <br />appreciated <br />Programming Update <br />i. big anniversaries coming up for both the US (250th) and <br />Colorado (150th) next year <br />ii. August next year - focus on Louisville's present and past <br />iii. possibly have an open space program focusing on land use <br />history and honoring indigenous history and culture <br />iv. starting in August of this year: spread the word <br />v. entry in Labor Day Parade of —10 people (board members <br />could volunteer, open to other city board members and <br />community members as well), banners, looking for cool car <br />for float <br />vi. Roger volunteers at history museum - could we collaborate? <br />Iris: yes! Collaboration has already begun <br />vii. we might be able to get additional funding for this as well <br />viii. Reina: can we add this to agenda for the board retreat? Iris: <br />Yes! <br />ix. Iris: going to indigenous people summit in March, hoping for <br />inspiration/connections to recognize these histories and <br />communities for the celebration <br />x. Tea 101 event on Saturday, Roger and Alexander were <br />there volunteering, well attended, fun demonstration and <br />engaging speakers, JR: what was the cost? $600, JR: what <br />was attendance? 30 people - Iris: that was probably the <br />
