k. JR suggests we disqualify the one saying they will perform in
Broomfield and Boulder
I. Harper Lake/Davidson Mesa proposal will require City Council
approval, may be beyond our scope/unlikely to happen, JR
suggests we disqualify with a note (our application process states
we cannot award grants to public art)
m. JR: motion to disqualify - all approved
n. Review of 2025 Arts Grant Proposals
i. 2025 Arts Grant Web Page (Please review)
ii. Scoring Criteria Matrix — Attached
1. 1-5 in each category
2. each board member will rank each proposal in each
category
3. we will then add the scores of all 6 board members in
each category to calculate final score
4. typically the proposals with the highest scores are
selected, but there is room for flexibility
5. example: JR notes we have 4-5 proposals going to
elementary schools - we may not want to select all of
those even if they rank highest
6. Reina: think about who is invited/allowed into the
room - we want a broad audience for inclusivity
7. Roger: this could factor into community relevance
scoring category
8. Iris/JR: read the sample scoring sheet!
9. JR went through all applications briefly
iii. Scoring Sheet — Sample Attached
1. Mohamed: should it be whole numbers? all agreed
yes
iv. $2000 x 5 awards
1. will discuss scoring next meeting
v. these spreadsheets/scoring will be shared with Iris and
made public record - will names be on or will it be
anonymous? JR: names will be on public record but only if
asked for
10. Events Programming Discussion
a. Update (Staff): 2025 Programming goals/overview
i. Open discussion on topics presented in Staff report
