We will support staff in learning more about emergency preparedness and the Library's
role in disaster recovery.
Are there ways to promote safety which don't focus on children, books or storytime?
What other information is in the collection or accessible through the library to promote safety?
Are there resources for action or actions we could promote? What about online safety? Mental
health?
Housing Policy (affordable housing:)
We couldn't think of any intersections with this one...
Support library staff in providing outreach opportunities to residents in affordable
housing units
Does the library have information or public records that provide history and context on
Louisville and Boulder County housing? Could we mount a display of Louisville history or the
history of housing in Louisville that illustrate affordability, supply, sprawl, or quality? Could we
partner with the historical society, students at the high school, other governmental units or
non -profits to pursue this work? Do we have data on where patrons live that shows a change in
library utilization or geography that reflects the cost of housing? Does that data tell us anything
about the utilization of library services based on income, housing type, or housing location?
(Washineton Post: Who Uses Libraries Most?)
