Criteria <br />3. All properties will be evaluated for <br />physical integrity and shall meet one <br />or more of the following criteria: <br />a. Shows character, interest or <br />value as part of the <br />development, heritage or <br />cultural characteristics of the <br />community, region, state, or <br />nation. <br />b. Retains original design features, <br />materials and/or character. <br />c. Remains in its original location, <br />has the same historic context <br />after having been moved, or <br />was moved more than 50 years <br />ago. <br />d. Has been accurately <br />reconstructed or restored based <br />on historic documentation. <br />Meets <br />Criteria? <br />Evaluation <br />Yes The structure remains in its location <br />after having been moved from <br />Superior in 1943. The property has <br />integrity of location, setting, feeling <br />and association. <br />ALTERATION CERTIFICATE REQUEST: <br />The applicant is also applying for an Alteration Certificate. Alteration Certificate requests are tied <br />to Landmark and Grant requests to ensure the work proposed for grant funding would not affect <br />a property's historical integrity for landmarking. Alteration Certificates are not required for <br />routine maintenance, such as painting, but are required for work that requires a building permit. <br />The proposed work falls under this review purview, which should focus on how the proposed <br />changes may or may not impact the property and its historic integrity. <br />The proposed Alteration Certificate covers the following: <br />• Remove and replace house siding <br />• Side and rear additions <br />• Replace clad windows and relocate 3 windows on the side of house <br />• Porch repairs <br />The applicant also proposes replacing the roof shingles, however building permit records <br />indicate the roof was replaced in 2004. <br />9 <br />
