Mayer stated that Council is approving minutes from a February meeting on the Consent <br />Agenda and requested that the minutes be brought up-to-date. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, explained that the current turn-around time is four to <br />six weeks and staff is working to shorten that time. <br /> <br />Mayer replied that, when reviewing the minutes, it is difficult to recall what was said at a <br />meeting that was some time ago. He expressed support for providing additional resources <br />in order to bring the minutes up-to-date. <br /> <br />Davidson called for any changes to the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council approve the Consent Agenda, seconded by Lathrop. The public notice was published some time ago; <br />however, the ordinance has not moved forward yet to City Council. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Jim Dallke, 178 S Polk Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, explained that he is a member of <br />the Boulder County Y2K Preparedness Group. He stated that they have been holding <br />open, informational gatherings for the public since October 1998, and will continue to do <br />so through the end of this year. The Boulder County Y2K Preparedness Group is a <br />volunteer citizen group recognized by the Boulder County Commissioners to help and <br />assist the emergency response agencies in the County with Y2K related destructions and <br />possible crises. He stated that they work closely along the guidelines and <br />recommendations of the Red Cross for Y2K preparedness. They hold free monthly <br />seminars on subjects ranging from food and water storage to first aid and medical <br />readiness to emergency power options and communications.
