Cityoy <br />Louisville <br />City Manager's Office <br />Colorado Resilience (CORE) Intern <br />Sustainability staff will be onboarding an intern at the end of April to support several resilience and <br />adaptation initiatives within the city. <br />Transformative Landscape Challenge (TLC) Grant with Resource Central <br />Staff were awarded the Turf Replacement and Landscape Change (TLC) Grant in partnership with the <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Department. In collaboration with Resource Central, the <br />project will focus on removing 1,600 square feet of turf at the Louisville Arboretum and converting the <br />area to native, water -wise landscaping. <br />As part of the project, educational signage will be installed to inform visitors about the benefits of native <br />landscaping. PROS staff are also actively working in the same area to remove additional turf and replace <br />it with low-water grasses, supporting the City's broader water conservation and sustainability goals. <br />2 <br />
