RESOLUTION NO. 26 <br />SERIES 2025 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LANDMARK DESIGNATION FOR A HISTORICAL <br />RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 600 PINE STREET. <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a landmark eligibility determination for a <br />historical property located at 600 Pine Street, legally described as Lots 1-3, Block 12, <br />Pleasant Hill, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC and City Council have reviewed the application and found it <br />to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville Municipal Code, including Section <br />15.36.050.A, establishing criteria for landmark designation; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC and City Council held a properly noticed public hearing on the <br />proposed landmark application; and <br />WHEREAS, 600 Pine Street (the Malcolm House) has social significance because <br />it exemplifies the cultural and social heritage of the community considering its association <br />with one Louisville family over the course of a century; and <br />WHEREAS, 600 Pine Street (the Malcolm House) has architectural significance <br />because it has architectural integrity that is representative of the built environment in <br />1920s Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to <br />the Malcolm House have social and architectural significance as described in Section <br />15.36.050.A of the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The application to landmark the property at 600 Pine Street be approved for the <br />following reasons: <br />a. Architectural integrity has been largely maintained over time. <br />b. Association with Louisville's cultural and social heritage. <br />2.
