<br /> -~ ,.-, <br /> ORDINANCE NO.~ <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3.12 <br /> OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> BY AMENDING THE AMOUNT OF TAX <br /> RELIEF FOR ELDERLY AND LOW INCOME <br /> PERSONS. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ci ty of Louisville has <br /> previously determined that elderly persons within the City of <br /> Louisville should be provided with financial assistance in order to <br /> ease hardships placed upon them by increases in water rates and <br /> general cost of living; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ci ty of Louisville has <br /> determined that the manner of such financial assistance be altered; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1 . Section 3.12.060CD) of the Louisville Municipal <br /> - <br /> Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2 . The following sections are hereby added to <br /> - <br /> Title 3, Chapter 3 . 1 2 , Section 3.12.060 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code: <br /> 3.12.060CD) <br /> In addition to the above described tax benefits, an <br /> Applicant who is 65 years of age or older, may receive additional tax <br /> benefits set forth in the following table: <br /> Total Household Income Rebate <br /> 0 - $6,000.00 $48.00 <br /> $6,001.00 - $12,000.00 $30.00 <br /> In order to receive said additional benefit, hereby known <br /> as the water use rebate, the Applicant must meet all qualifications <br /> as set forth in 3.12.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code. Said re- <br /> fund shall be payable after July 1 of each calendar year and shall <br /> begin for the year from July 1 , 1982, through June 30, 1983, and at <br /> the option of the applicant may be paid in combination with the property <br /> tax rebate described herein. <br />
