<br /> .). <br /> ,/ ,;:;r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 818 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br /> THE SAFETY CODE FOR ELEVATORS AND <br /> ESCALATORS, 1981 EDITION, AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR PERMIT FEES TO BE <br /> PAID FOR ELEVATORS IN THE CITY OF <br /> LOUISVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, the chief building official for the City of <br /> Louisville believes that, in the best interest of the City, that the <br /> 1981 edition of the Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators be <br /> adopted; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville is of <br /> the opinion that the adoption of said code would be in the best <br /> interest of the citizens of the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1 . The following sections and Chapter 15.52 are <br /> - <br /> hereby added to Title 1 5 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 15.52.010 ADOPTION <br /> Pursuant to Title 31 , Article 16, of C. R. S. 1973, as <br /> amended, there is adopted as a part of the Louisville Mun ic ipal Code <br /> by reference the Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, 1 98 1 <br /> edition, published by the Am e r i can Society of Mechanical Engineers, <br /> 345 East 47th Street, New York, New York 10017, to have the same <br /> force and effect as if set forth herein in every particular. The <br /> subject matter of the adopted code includes requirements for <br /> elevators, escalators, moving walks, material lifts and dumb waiters <br /> and includes standards relating to design, construction, safety <br /> matters and other factors related to maintenance and construction of <br /> elevators and escalators. In additional sections of this chapter <br /> where a reference is made to the Safety Code for Elevators and <br /> Escalators, said reference shall be to the 1 98 1 edition of said code. <br /> 15.48.020 PERMIT FEES <br /> For each device covered under the Uniform Code adopted in <br /> Section 15.52.010, the sum of $150.00 per device shall be paid to the <br /> City. Said fee must be paid on an annual basis on or before March 1 , <br />
