<br /> /,) <br /> ~.. ,,- <br /> ORDINANCE NO.842 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13.04 OF THE <br /> LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING <br /> INSTALLATION OF WATER CONSERVATION DEVICES. <br /> WHEREAS, it is important and necessary that all necessary <br /> actions be taken to conserve water within the City of Louisville; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville be - <br /> lieves the following ordinance will aid in said conservation. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1 . The following section is added to Title 13, <br /> Chapter 13 .04 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 13.04.110 WATER CONSERVATION DEVICES <br /> In all new construction and in any repair and/or replace- <br /> ment of fixtures, only fixtures and trim not exceeding the following <br /> flow rates and/or water usage shall be installed. (Rates are based <br /> on a pressure at the fixture of 40 to 50 psi.) <br /> a. Water closets: maximum 3.5 gallons per flush <br /> b . Water closets flushometer type: maximum 3.0 gallons <br /> per flush <br /> c . Shower heads: maximum flow of 3.0 gallons per minute <br /> d . Sink and faucets: maximum flow of 3.0 gallons per <br /> minute <br /> e . It shall also be required in all new construction and <br /> repair or replacement of fixtures, that a pressure re - <br /> ducing valve shall be installed on the incoming service <br /> to said structure.
