Staff noted that this iteration of the Plan was <br />originally intended as an internal draft for staff review and staff from all City departments are <br />also still reviewing it for edits prior to the public review draft. City Council's focus for the <br />June 17th review was on the following components of the plan, which make up the central <br />policy elements of the plan: <br />✓ Vision and Core Values — Council Review Completed <br />✓ Future Land Use Map (FLUM) and Land Use Classifications — Council Reviewed and <br />Asked for Comparative Maps for Further Review <br />✓ Plan Elements and Focus Areas, and Goals and Strategies for each Focus Area — <br />Review Not Yet Started <br />The purpose of this meeting is to complete the review that was initiated on June 17th. Per <br />Council's request, staff has provided a series of maps to help in evaluation of the Future <br />Land Use Map (FLUM) that compare the FLUM to zoning, existing land use designations, <br />and priority open space acquisition properties identified by the Open Space Advisory Board. <br />Link: FLUM Comparison Maps <br />Some Councilmembers provided email comments on the draft plan following the June 17th <br />review. The City has heard from around 2,000 residents and received diverse <br />comments and viewpoints along the way.
