Initiate a development code update
to allow for more diverse housing
types such as missing middle
housing (small-scale, multi -unit
housing like duplexes, townhomes,
etc), additional dwelling units
(ADUs), smaller homes, and
reduced minimum lot sizes.
B. These are typically rental units
that are affordable for low-income households, and
include older homes and housing in manufactured
housing communities. While these units typically
have lower rent and purchase prices compared
to newer development, the lack of covenants and
subsidies makes these housing units particularly
vulnerable to either redevelopment or disrepair.
For this reason, the Comprehensive Plan seeks to
support maintenance of these existing NOAH units.
The NOAH Map on page XX of this plan illustrates
where these existing units are located throughout
the community.
58 I Land Use and Development
LOUISVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
