<br /> CHANGES AND ADDITIONS <br /> TO CITY OF LOUISVILLE PERSONNEL CODE <br /> CHAPTER 1 <br /> -- <br />Section 1.4 SALARIES <br />A. Salary Increments: Upon completion of the probationary <br />period and annually thereafter, the employee will be eval- <br />uated to determine eligibility for salary increments. Su c h <br />increases may be recommended by the Department Head, with the <br />approval of the City Administrator, and may be granted only <br />where the employee, in the~ sole opinion of the Department <br />Head, is satisfactory. Any determinations concerning <br />eligibility for salary increases shall not be grievable <br />u nl ess the employee contends that the denial of an increase <br />is due to discrimination on the basis of race, c reed, sex, <br />national origin, or handicap. <br />Section 1.5 SALARY ON PROMOTION <br />When an employee is promoted, the employee shall move to the <br />entry level of the pay grade for the employee's new classi- <br />fication. If the entry level would result in a pay increase <br />of 1 ess than five percent (5%), the employee shall be <br />adva nced tot ha t level in the pay grade, which i s nearest to, <br />bu t not less than five percent ( 5 % ) above the employee's rate <br />of pay in his previous classification. <br />1 CHAPTER 4 <br /> -- <br />Section 4.3 OVERTIME <br />----------- <br />A. E x em p t Employees: All elected officials and employees <br />classified by the Personne~l Division as a Department Head or <br />Division Head are exempt from a payment of overtime. <br />C . Paid Overtime on a Holiday: Any non-police employee <br />requ ired to work on a holiday will receive pay for such service <br />as follows: <br /> Hours Worked .f~mp~~tio~ <br /> 1-4 hours Fou r ( 4 ) hours at straight pay <br /> Only, and Four ( 4 ) hours at <br /> double pay only. <br />
