fee for each permit shall be paid in accordance with a fee schedule adopted <br />by resolution of the City Council from time to time. <br />Sec. 15.05.080.- Section 108.3 amended —Building permit valuations. <br />Section 108.3 of the International Residential Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />108.3 Building permit valuations. The applicant for a permit shall <br />provide an estimated permit value at time of application. Permit valuations <br />shall include total value of work, including materials and labor, for which the <br />permit is being issued, such as electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing <br />equipment and permanent systems. If, in the opinion of the building official, <br />the valuation is underestimated on the application, the permit shall be <br />denied, unless the applicant can show detailed estimates to meet the <br />approval of the building official. Final building permit valuation shall be set <br />by the building official. <br />Sec. 15.05.90.- Section R110.1 amended —Use and occupancy. <br />Section R11O.1 of the International Residential Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />R110.1 Use and occupancy. <br />A. No building or structure shall be used or occupied, and no change <br />in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion <br />thereof shall be made until the building official has issued a certificate of <br />occupancy therefore as provided herein. Issuance of a certificate of <br />occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the <br />provisions of this code or of other city ordinances. Certificates purporting to <br />give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code or other city <br />ordinances shall not be valid. <br />B. Exceptions: <br />1. Certificates of occupancy are not required for work exempt <br />from permits under Section R105.2. <br />2. Cabins, agricultural and accessory buildings and <br />miscellaneous permits shall not receive certificates of occupancy; a letter of <br />completion will be given upon request. <br />Ordinance No. 1907, Series 2025 <br />Page 14 of 59 <br />
