The purpose and subject <br />matter of the International Building Code include regulating construction <br />aspects of building through comprehensive provisions and standards <br />regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, equipping, <br />use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and structures and <br />providing greater safety to the public by uniformity in building laws. Except <br />as otherwise provided in this chapter, the International Building Code, 2024 <br />Edition, is adopted in full, including the table of contents, index, and <br />appendices. Any reference to the International Building Code within this <br />chapter shall be to the 2024 Edition of such code. The provision of this code <br />adoption shall not be deemed to nullify any provisions of local, state or <br />federal laws. All buildings and structures under scope of this code adoption <br />shall also comply with the Colorado Model Electric Ready and Solar -Ready <br />Code, the Colorado Plumbing Code, the Colorado Fuel Gas Fuel Gas Code <br />and the Colorado Electric Code, as adopted by the City of Louisville <br />Colorado.
