Davidson proclaimed July 31, 1999, as Colorado Cares: a Day to Give Back to the <br />Community Day and urged all residents to spend a day performing community service <br />activities. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1304, SERIES 1999 - AN ORDINANCE REGARDING WRITE- <br />IN CANDIDATES - 2ND READING - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera <br />7/11/99) <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing on Ordinance No. 1304, Series 1999 - An Ordinance <br />Regarding Write-In Candidates and called for staff presentation. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney, explained that this Ordinance is to eliminate an erroneous <br />reference to a deadline that is currently in the City Code. He stated that write-in <br />candidates for elections have to file a petition with the City Clerk on a certain date, that <br />date changes depending on whether the election is conducted pursuant to the Municipal <br />Election Code or the Uniform Election Code. This Ordinance eliminates an erroneous <br />reference to a twenty-five day period, when in fact, it is a sixty-four day period. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone wishing to speak on Ordinance No. 1304, Series 1999. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments and questions. <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1304, Series 1999 - an Ordinance <br />Regarding Write-In Candidates, on second reading, seconded by Levihn. <br /> <br />Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7-0 vote. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1305, SERIES 1999 - AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO <br />THE REGISTERED ELECTORS PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE THAT WOULD INCREASE THE SALARIES <br />OF CERTAIN ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney, read by title only, Ordinance No. 1305, Series 1999 - An <br />Ordinance Submitting To The Registered Electors Proposed Amendments To The <br />Louisville Municipal Code That Would Increase The Salaries Of Certain Elected City <br />Officials. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council set Ordinance No. 1305, Series 1999 - An Ordinance <br />Submitting To The Registered Electors Proposed Amendments To The Louisville <br />Municipal Code That Would Increase The Salaries Of Certain Elected City Officials out <br />for publication and set the public hearing for 8/3/99, seconded by Sisk.
