<br />RESOLUTION NO. 9 <br />Series 1982 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the voters of Colorado have twice approved <br />establishment of a state-supervised lottery or sweepstakes, the <br />last time via a November, 1980 constitutional amendment; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proceeds of the lottery are to be spent on <br />parks, recreation, and open space through the state Conservation <br />Trust Fund, unless otherwise directed by the legislature; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville believes that the lottery <br />was originally contemplated and the voters approved the amendment <br />with parks, recreation, and open space funding in mind; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has a critical need for <br />parks, recreation, and open space funding. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, that calls be made upon State <br />Representative Hume and State Senator Fowler to support passage of <br />the measure with the proceeds earmarked for parks, recreation, and <br />open space. <br /> <br />./ ,/ "f <br />ADOPTED AND APPROVED thisr?~~ day of ~7~?~ ' <br />1982. <br /> <br /> <br />'/'1 1/1 <br />'//'/. /\ ' ./ / ,/,/ i <br />~6>') ~:J' 111- ?~~~C 2'- <br />Mayor ' <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />~ /n. >>?~J~V <br />Ci ty Clerk ' <br />
