The Board also voted to
continue holding regular meetings at 6:30 pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
The schedule of regular meetings for 2011 is as follows:
(01) January 13
(03) March 10
(05) May 12
(07) July 14
(09) September 15
(11) November 10

C.Distribute 2011 Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet

All members in attendance received a copy of the document.

D.Book Drop in Superior

This item was added to the agenda primarily to address a news article on the subject,
Superior Talks Local Library Book Drop Box, which appeared in the Colorado Hometown
Weekly newspaper on January 12, 2011.
To open the discussion, Sandy Pennington (Town of Superior Trustee and Library Board
appointee) referred to last April’s close vote passing the mill levy to raise property
taxes to fund library services for the Town of Superior. She also noted that the measure
likely wouldn’t have passed if opponents had had more time to counter a last ditch
effort by supporters. Continued support for the library services Intergovernmental
Agreement (IGA) would likely be helped by reaching out to Superior residents who find
it a hardship to drive to Louisville to return their borrowed materials. Either community
can withdraw from the IGA with 180 days notice.
City of Louisville
::
Public Library :: 951 Spruce StreetLouisville, CO 80027
303-335-4815 :: 303-335-4833 (fax) :: www.louisville-library.gov
