<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 35 <br /> SERIES 2006 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE BOULDER COUNTY CLERK AND <br /> RECORDER FOR THE CONDUCT AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br /> GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 7, 2006. <br /> WHEREAS, the City will hold a special municipal election on November 7, 2006, as a <br /> coordinated election pursuant to the Uniform Election Code of 1992, as amended; and <br /> WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Agreement By and Between the City of <br /> Louisville and the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder for the Conduct and Administration of <br /> the General Election to be held November 7, 2006 ("Intergovernmental Agreement") provides <br /> for the conduct and financing of such election. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> 1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. <br /> 2. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Louisville, except that such persons are <br /> hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to the Intergovernmental <br /> Agreement as are determined necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the <br /> essential terms and conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement are not altered. <br /> 3. Pursuant to C.R.S. Section 31-10-102.7, the City will utilize the requirements and <br /> procedures of the Uniform Election Code of 1992, articles 1 to 13 of title 1, c.R.S., as amended, <br /> in lieu of the Colorado Municipal Election Code of 1965, article 10 of title 31, C.R.S., as <br /> amended, with respect to the special municipal election to be held on November 7, 2006, and <br /> such election shall be conducted as part of a coordinated election. <br /> ~--- <br /> ~ <br />
