Applications for permits for subdivision <br /> directional signs shall be accompanied by a statement, <br /> signed by the owner of the property on which the slgn <br /> is to be placed, indicating his consent to erect the <br /> sign and assuming the responsibility for its removal. <br /> 5. Subdivision directional signs shall not be dis- <br /> played prior to the date of official filing of the sub- <br /> division; and shall be removed within two years from <br /> the date of issuance of the first building permit in <br /> the project, or within 30 days from the time that 75% <br /> of the lots or dwellings in the pertinent subdivision <br /> or filing thereof have been sold, whichever time <br /> period is the least. <br /> C. Political Signs. Signs concerning candidacy for public <br /> office or urging action on any ballot issue in a primary, general <br /> or special election shall be permitted in commercial, residential and <br /> industrial zoning districts, subject to the area and height restrictions <br /> set forth in this Chapter. <br /> The person or organization responsible for the erection or <br /> distribution of any political signs, or the owner of the property upon <br /> which such signs are located, shall remove such signs within 10 days <br /> after the primary or special elections to which the signs pertain, <br /> unless such signs continue to be pertinent to a general election to <br /> be held within 90 days, in which case such signs shall be removed <br /> within 10 days after the general election to which they pertain. <br /> D. Other Temporary Signs. Temporary signs not specifically <br /> regulated by the preceding subsections shall be displayed only ln <br /> accordance with the following conditions: <br /> l. Such signs shall be limited to free-standing, <br /> window or wall signs only; shall not exceed 100 square <br /> feet in total surface area per use, and shall comply <br /> with the applicable height and setback regulations for <br /> the district in which they are located. <br /> 2.
