8. Drinking Water
a. WGP installed a plumbed and cooled water fountain at the on- course restroom facility in 2010. WGP
also offers sanitized drinking water at the turn (clubhouse). Therefore, drinking water is currently
provided after #5 green (could also be accessed at #4 green), after #9 green (cart staging area), and at
#13 green (same cart staging area). So, approximately every 4 %2 holes, water is provided during the
season.
i. For health and safety reasons WGP will be continuing with current offerings. 1 have attached
several articles to this communication to outline the dangers in other forms of drinking water. It
is important to understand that WGP assumes the liability for ALL items consumed on the
property and is not willing to endanger its guests' health.
9. Benches
a. Benches were removed when the city funded the operation due to vandalism and continued
upkeep /replacement costs. Bench placement will need to be incorporated into the tee monument areas
to provide proper appearance and setting so as not to hinder other maintenance operations.
i. WGP recommends that the GCAB solicit funds for benches. WGP will spec a bench to coincide
with the current golf course accessory package (will be of golf course quality and made of
recycled plastic) and will provide /install a small plaque if desired.
10. Tree Trimming
a. Tree trimming falls to the direction of the City Forester
11. Clubhouse Replacement Study
a. The clubhouse at Coal Creek is twenty years old and shows signs of age. A feasibility study could be
obtained to determine current needs.
i. WGP recommends that with the current state of the golf economy and saturation of golf
facilities in the market, that a renovation rather than a replacement be considered. Because we
recommend renovation rather than replacement at this time, any funding available would be
better spent toward the renovation rather than a study for long term replacement.
