Draft changes to the ordinance were discussed such <br />as the time limit for a demolition permit to be active, and a demolition process <br />that is similar to the land use application process the Planning Department <br />currently uses for land use entitlements. There was some discussion on whether <br />a demolition application being active for1 year from the hearing datewas <br />sufficient time. Staff further outlined in detail the Demolition Processan applicant <br />would follow. <br />Update/Discussion –McCaslin Blvd. and Washington Avenue Intersection <br />Modifications <br />City Council and staff reviewed the proposed criteria and looked at numerous <br />options and variations for intersection modifications atMcCaslin Blvd. and <br />Washington Ave. to improve the pedestrian crossing. Staff will do an internal <br />review of the options to determine conformity with current traffic <br />operations/transportation policies and proceduresprior to solicitingpublic <br />feedback to reduce the number of alternativesand select final optionsfor a more <br />thorough investigation. Staff will return to City Council for authorization to <br />complete any remaining initial work and seek direction/funding for the public <br />outreach, design and construction phase of the preferred alternative. <br />Update/Discussion –Gateway Signs <br />City Council and staff reviewed the proposed designs for City gateway signs. <br />Staff discussed the necessary initiatives/scope to finalize the City’s gateway sign <br />package designincluding further assessment, public involvement and outreach. <br />City Manager’s Report <br />The City Manager reviewed the advanced agenda and specifically items for the <br />March 8, 2011 specialmeeting on the budget to begin at 4:00 pm in the Louisville <br />Public Library. <br />Meeting adjourned at8:58p.m. –Next Special Meeting on March 8, 2011at 4:00 <br />PM. <br />
