Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />Feb. 9, 2011 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />2. McCaslin Crossing — Public Works submitted and Staff reviewed the options <br />for the crossing. It is still early in the process; the options will go through a <br />process within the City to make sure the crossing meets with the city's <br />requirements, budget, etc. City Council will have a study session on the topic, <br />date tentatively set for April. <br />3. North End Phase 2 PUD is in and is being reviewed internally before OSAB <br />review. <br />4. Education — Staff is continuing to coordinate and grow these efforts. Staff and <br />OSAB are planning collaboration with the Library, HFAB and the City of Boulder. <br />5. Comprehensive Master Plan — There will be a presentation on Monday, March <br />14, 2011 from 5:30 - 7p to review what the Consultants have found to this point. <br />The meeting will be held at City Council Chambers. <br />6. Zoning — Staff has been working on zoning plans and zoning language. City <br />Council study session is planned for April, during which the Council will be <br />updated on the progress made up to this point. <br />7. Lafayette / Louisville Boundary Outfall System Plan— Staff has been reviewing <br />the drainage system plan for potential impacts on the Harney Lastoka Open <br />Space. <br />8. Joe Update- Xcel property off of Dillon Road — OSAB had previously shown <br />interest in this property. The price on this property has now been reduced. No <br />OSAB action required at this time. <br />VII. Board Update <br />1. Justin noted that he has observed a lot of coyote and raptor activity recently. <br />He offered his gratitude for the on -going efforts of Staff for their work on wildlife <br />issues. <br />VIII. Discussion Item: Goals and Assigning Leads and Timeframes <br />Goal 1: Collaborate with Other OS Boards- Ember <br />Goal 2: Enhance Education & Outreach Program <br />o Social Media — 4th Quarter / on -going <br />• Facebook — Tom, Alison <br />• Update Website — Send any information to Ember <br />• Develop Topics / Scripts — Spencer, Tom and David <br />• Write an article for newsletter/website — Justin <br />
