Departmentof Planning and Building Safety
749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 303.335.4592www.LouisvilleCO.gov
MM
EMORANDU
To: Historic Preservation Commission Members
From: PlanningDivision
Subject: Structural Drawings – 1131 Jefferson Avenue
Date: May 16, 2011
Staff is attaching a copy of a field notes, memo and fee estimate from JVA
Consulting and Engineering. The City of Louisville hired JVA to review the roof
structure at 1131 Jefferson Avenue due to potential structural issues on the
historic roof. The field notes detail what issues currently exist and the memo
details what they recommend for next steps.
In short, all of the proposed structural work would be completed on the inside of
the roof (attic) and would stabilize the existing undersized roofing elements.
Staff would like to forward this item to City Council to approve a grant to permit
the structural drawings to be completed.
