<br />\ 2.68.060 SALARY SCHEDULE } <br /> <br />The salary schedule as relates to the Position Classification is <br />maintained in the <Dffices of the City Administrator and the Department <br />of Financial Administration. <br /> <br />2.68.070 SALARY PROGRESSION AND COST OF LIVING <br /> <br />Employees shall be employed in accordance with their respective position <br />classification in effect at the time of their employment and shall commence <br />under step A for a twelve-month probationary period; thereafter, upon <br />approval of the City Administrator, such employees may be raised in <br />intervals on their anniversary date beginning January 1, 1983. Every employee <br />in a permanent status shall receive in addition to his base salary an annual <br />cost of living lncrease in January of each year. All cost of living <br />increases shall be based on annual negotiations with the mayor and city <br />council. ~"The di tyadministrator shall represent the city employees ln <br />the negotiations. <br /> <br />*Base pay shall increase annually by the percentage amount <br />approved by the city council for cost of living increases <br />awarded the previous year. <br /> <br />2.68.080 SALARY MERIT PAYMENT <br /> <br />If an employee's performance has been on a continuous and sustained <br />level above the requirements of the job, as determined by the employee <br />performance evaluation, the employee may receive and incentive payment. <br />Such payments may be in an amount equal to up to three (3%) of annual <br />salary.
