police department shall notify such owner and shall return the fowl to the owner <br />upon his payment of a fee of $0.25 for each fowl taken up and returned to him. Such <br />fee shall be as established by resolution of the city council. If the owner of such fowl <br />is unknown, or if it is not the owner's first offense, or if the owner does not claim the <br />fowl after being notified, the fowl shall be sold by the police department and money <br />shall be turned over to the city collector. If the owner of such fowl can establish his <br />ownership, the money received from the sale of the fowl, less the cost of <br />impounding, shall be paid over to the owner. <br />Section 14. Section 8.08.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): <br />Sec. 8.08.030. Owner liable for cost of cutting weeds by city. <br />If weeds exist on any property to heights greater than permitted by this <br />chapter, the director, no less than ten days after notice by mail to the last known <br />address of the owner, agent, or occupant of the property, may order the cutting and <br />removal of the weeds by the city. The city shall assess the costs therefor, plus an <br />additional amount up to $50.00 to cover administrative costs, against the lots or <br />tracts of land from which the weeds are removed. The amount of the additional <br />charge to cover administrative costsamount shall be as established by resolution of <br />the city council. In the event that such owner, agent or occupant cannot be contacted <br />under this section, his address is unknown or a mailed notice is returned undelivered, <br />the director may post such property with a notice giving such property owner, agent <br />or occupant five days to cut the weeds. <br />Section 15. Section 8.12.200 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br />follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): <br />Sec. 8.12.200. Arborist license required. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person or business to perform tree pruning, <br />removal, or repair work for hire within the city without a valid arborist license issued <br /> as established by <br />by the city forester. The cost of the license shall be $25.00 <br />resolution of the city council. Each license shall be an annual license which shall <br />expire on the last day of the calendar year in which it was issued. The requirements <br />of this section shall not apply to private landowners performing such work on trees <br />located wholly on their own private property, or to any individual who, during any <br />twelve-month period, performs such work on no more than two trees located wholly <br />on private property. <br />Section 16.
