Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 21, 2011 <br />Page 6of 9 <br />Koertje presented the letter. <br />Lewis stated the letter works great and collaboration is welcome. <br />Poppitz stated he would be interested in seeing if an historic park could be established <br />in the City of Louisville for threatened structures to be relocated to –similar to Frisco. <br />Herecommended collaborating with Boulder County on their open space. <br />Stewart stated it was a great idea and recommended Poppitz work with Jean Morgan. <br />He asked if this topic could be included on a future HPC agenda. <br />Lewis stated her previous experience with the Hecla Mine gave her some knowledge of <br />the Boulder County process. <br />Koertje recommended Poppitz begin discussion with Boulder County open space. <br />Update/Discussion/Action –Grain Elevator HSA <br />McCartney presented the attached memo. <br />Stewart stated he reviewed the document and thought it was well done. However, the <br />preservation plan was the weakest. <br />Update/Discussion/Action –Jefferson Place Survey <br />McCartney presented the attached memo. <br />Tofte asked how the City could increase Bridget’s hours so she can work on this project. <br />McCartney stated he would follow up on this request. <br />Stewart stated he believed the Use Tax could be used, but it is ultimately up to the City <br />Manager and City Council. <br />Update/Discussion/Action –Demolition Process <br />Stewart stated it is important to include a development plan with a demolition request. <br />McCartney stated he will check with City Attorney on the duties of the HPC. <br />Stewart asked if an answer could be given prior to thenext HPC meeting. <br />McCartney stated he would try. <br />Koertje stated he wants to make sure it is clear in the proposed language a demolition <br />application is tied to a specific owner and not transferable. <br />McCartney stated staff would ask the City Attorney to review the language to ensure <br />consistency. <br />Tofte asked if City Council had questions about ownership. <br /> <br />
