<br /> '0 l." <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 749 <br /> AN ORDINANCE MlENDING CHAP'I'ER 14.16 OF THE <br /> LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY REQUIRING <br /> APPROVAL TO SEHVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHEN <br /> AN EXCLUSIVE USE PERMIT IS OBTAINED FOR <br /> USE OF THE CITY'S PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> FACILITIES. <br /> WHEREAS, there has been a number of problems concerning <br /> the use of alcoholic beverages at the City's parks and recreation <br /> facilities; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services has requested <br /> that specific approval be required to serve alcoholic beverages if <br /> an exclusive use permit has been obtained for use of the City's <br /> recreation facilities; and, <br /> \VHE REAS , the City Council has determined that specific <br /> approval be required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLOR1\DO: <br /> Section 1. The following section is hereby added to Title <br /> 14, Chapter 14.16 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 14.16.110 Alcoholic Beverage Use <br /> It shall be unlawful for a person who has obtained an <br /> exclusive use permit under this chapter to use, distribute, or consume <br /> any alcoholic beverage or 3.2 beer during the exclusive use of the <br /> park and recreation facilities without having first obtained approval <br /> as part of obtaining the exclusive use permit. In order to obtain <br /> said approval, the following is required: <br /> L Application mus't be made to the Department of Community <br /> Services on application forms provided by the Department. <br /> 2. A deposit of $510.00 for a Louisville resident or <br /> $100.00 for a non-resident must be paid to the Department of Community <br /> Services. Said deposit will be refunded to the applicant after use <br /> of the park is completed and the facilities are inspected for damage. <br /> In the event damage to the City facilities does occur, the deposit <br /> may be used by the Department in repairing said damage. <br /> 3. Said approval will not allow the sale of alcoholic <br /> beverages but only allow parties to use and consume the alcoholic <br /> beverages on City property. <br />
