<br /> >"- <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 754 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ETHICS <br /> FOR PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE RELATIVE TO DISCLOSURE <br /> AND RESOLUTION OF A CONFLICT. <br /> REAS, the City of Louisville has previously adopted <br />a Code of ics providing a standard of conduct for public officials <br />and employee of the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that said Code be revised relative <br />to sections concerning disclosure and resolution of a conflict; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLOR1\DO: <br />Section 1. Section 2.80.040, Chapter 2.80, Title 2 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. The following section is hereby added to <br />Chapter 2.80, Title 2 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 2.80.040 Disclosure and <br /> Resolution of Conflict <br />A public officer or employee shall remove himself from <br />any conflict or violation under section 2.80.030(a) (1) through ( 3) <br />as follows: <br />l. Any elected or appointed public official or employee <br />who has an interest in any proposed City action before the City <br />Councilor a City Board or Commission of which the public of~icial <br />or employee is a member shall immediately disclose the nature and <br />extent of such interest, which such disclosure being a matter of <br />public record. <br />2. The public official or employee shall not vote on <br />the proposed action before the City Council, Board or Corrmission. <br />3. Said public official or employee shall not participate <br />in any discussion on the proposed action unless requested to do so <br />by a member present on said city Council, Board or-Commission. <br />
