<br /> ~.~ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 756 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.32 <br /> OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br /> ALTERING STANDARDS REQUIRED IN THE <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF FENCES WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE. <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that the standards related to <br />the construction of fences within the City be updated; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief Building Inspector of the City of <br />Louisville has requested specifically that the standards in the <br />Louisville Municipal Code be brought in line with existing standards. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. Sections 15.32.010 and 15.32.020 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following sections are hereby added to <br />Chapter 15.32, 7itle 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> l5.32.010 Construction of Solid Wood Fences <br /> All fences constructed in the City of Louisville shall <br />conform to the minimum standards contained in this chapter and <br />other applicable codes. Permits shall be required for installation <br />with fees developed under Section l5.04.030, Table 3A of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code. <br /> l5.32.020 Construction Standards Minimum <br /> All solid wood fences must be constructed to meet the <br />following minimum design standards: <br /> A. All solid wood fences 4 feet to 6 feet in height shall <br />have one 4 x 4 wood post, or equivalent, every 30 square feet of fence <br />area. <br /> B. For fences 4 feet to 5 feet in height, two horizontal <br />stiffeners are required. The lower stiffeners shall be within 12 <br />inches to ground level and the upper stiffeners shall be 12 inches <br />to the top of the posts. <br /> C. For fences 5 feet to 6 feet in height, three horizontal <br />stiffeners shall be required, equally spaced from ground level to <br />the top of the fence. <br />
