<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 757 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PENALTY <br /> PROVISION OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE ADDING SECTIONS REGARDING <br /> CONFINEMENT OF MINORS AND PROHIBITING <br /> CERTAIN CONDUC~~ WITHIN THE CITY OF <br /> LOUISVILLE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need exists <br />for clarification of the Louisville Municipal Code relative to <br />penalties to be assessed against minor children by the Municipal <br />Court; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need exists <br />for the prohibition of urinating in public. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, as follows: <br /> Section 1. The following subsection (c) is hereby added <br />to ~l.28.010, Chapter 1.28 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> (c) A child under eighteen years of age convicted <br /> of violating a municipal ordinance, found to be in <br /> violation of lawful order of the municipal court, <br /> shall not be confined in a jailor other place used <br /> for the confinement of adult offenders. A child may <br /> be confined for up to forty-eight (48) hours in a <br /> juvenile detention facility upon order of the Court. <br /> Section 2.
